To support DCprime’s preclinical research programs, DCprime is looking to expand its current Research team with a position for a Scientist. You will work in a dedicated team of scientists and technicians responsible for DCprime’s cancer immunology research projects aimed at extending the application opportunities of DCP-001 and the development of novel product candidates. Ultimately, these projects translate into clinical development.

Job description – Scientist
As a Scientist, you provide for the knowledge base, technological and communications skills to independently plan, coordinate, carry out and communicate Research projects. Your tasks include:
– Designing and conducting in vitro cancer immunology studies
– Analysing data and reporting results as part of pre-clinical data packages, within established timelines
– Develop laboratory protocols and standard operating procedures
– Present data, compose manuscripts & prepare posters/presentations at national/international meetings in support of business objectives
– Maintain knowledge and technological expertise related to scientific advances as well as competitive intelligence
– Establish and maintain cross-functional team interactions to achieve R&D objectives
– Demonstrate innovation, problem solving and analytical skills
– Engage colleagues in cross-disciplinary scientific discussion and be a team player

Competencies, qualifications and skills
– PhD in biological/medical sciences, preferably with a specialization in immunology at least 2 years of post-doctoral experience in immuno-oncology, preferably in the area of cancer vaccine development and associated model systems
– Experience in cell culture and standard cell-based assays
– Experience in state of the art immunological assays such as multi-parameter flow cytometry, ELISA, western blot and cell-based cytotoxicity assays
– Experience with GLP is preferred
– Attention to detail and a meticulous working attitude
– Excellent writing and communication skills in both Dutch and English
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
– Demonstrated ability to work effectively and productively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality
– Possess creative problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound and accurate judgment in making timely decisions
– Demonstrated accountability and responsibility for own work
